  • Pearson Placed 1st at the state competition for Academic Decathlon Speech; scoring the maximum possible score of 1000. Pearson also received a 1st place medal in Social Science, and 2nd place medal in Art

  • Pearson received a second NSAA “Outstanding Performance” award for his role as Romeo Montague in “Shakespeare’s Dead Dudes”

  • In Pearson’s division for the Academic Decathalon regional competition, Person placed first in Economics, Music, Literature, Art, Science, and Social Science, and placed second in Mathematics.

  • Pearson was invited to speak to campers and counselors at V2 ministries fall camp out about his personal experiences with faith and volunteering

  • Pearson was given the opportunity to promote and volunteer for Ixim Ministries, a mission group promoted to developing clean water and educational facilities in Guatemala

  • Pearson was promoted to President of his school’s thespian troupe; in 2024, Pearson was also cast in four different plays through the Rose Theater, Mount Michael Theater, and Duchesne Theater

  • Pearson was promoted to Co-Head of Backstage, Tech, and Prop management for the theater department at Saint Stephen the Martyr

  • Pearson finished the 2025 mock trial season as his school’s highest scoring witness; overall winning two best witness awards at Mock Trial competitions in the same year

Roles & Responsibilities

Rylan is one of 2 Co-Founders of Write to Learn. Pearson handles many logistical operations, community outreach opportunities, as well as the development of the Write to Learn foundation.
